Food & Beverage Manager

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and commercially minded Food & Beverage Manager to join the management team at a leading 4-star hotel in Derry.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, developing teams and driving strong operational and financial performance across all food and beverage outlets.

The Role

As Food & Beverage Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the hotel’s food and beverage department, ensuring consistently high standards of service, presentation and guest satisfaction.

You will lead and motivate the F&B team while working closely with the General Manager and other department heads to achieve the hotel’s operational and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurant, bar, banqueting and events.
• Lead, motivate and develop the F&B team, creating a positive and professional working environment.
• Maintain consistently high standards of customer service and hospitality.
• Monitor departmental budgets, revenue, labour costs, stock control and GP performance.
• Plan staffing levels, rotas and service requirements effectively.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Oversee weddings, conferences, functions and other large-scale events.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety and licensing requirements.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Support menu development, promotions and initiatives designed to increase revenue.
• Recruit, train and coach team members to deliver the hotel’s service standards.
• Contribute to the overall strategic and operational performance of the hotel.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous management experience within a busy hotel, restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Good commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
• Experience in banqueting and events would be highly advantageous.
• A professional, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
• The flexibility to work evenings, weekends and during busy periods as required.
