Well established Bar/Restaurant located in Armagh City is seeking to appoint an experienced Restaurant Manager.
The successful candidate will have previous Restaurant Management experience. This is a ‘hands on’ position where you will be expected to manage and motivate a team of approximately 10 staff.
The main duties for the successful candidate will include the following;
¨ To ensure that standards are maintained within areas under your control and that efforts are being made to continually improve such standards.
¨ To hold regular staff meetings and training sessions when necessary.
¨ To manage the resources in your department within the established limits.
¨ To direct, organize motivate and control the work of staff within your department.
¨ To recruit, select, train and develop staff within your department with specific emphasis on customer care and standards of performance.
¨ To liaise with other departments when necessary.
¨ To maintain adequate stock levels within your department.
¨ To promote and maximize sales within the restaurant.
¨ To maintain discipline of staff within your control.
¨ To ensure all equipment within the restaurant is cared for and maintained.
¨ To carry out regular stock takes of equipment, linen, menus etc.
¨ To control wastage in materials and energy.
¨ To assist the Head Chef and Food and Beverage team in menu development.
¨ To ensure maximum guest satisfaction, dealing with complaints/comments as they arise.
¨ To be familiar with till procedure.
¨ To develop and maintain standardized policies, procedures and checklists within the restaurant
¨ To ensure compliance with Statutory and Company regulations concerning safety, hygiene and fire.
¨ To attend weekly and team meetings as appropriate.
¨ To carry out any other duties that might reasonably be requested by the General Manager.
Hours of work will vary but will be based on 39 hrs per week, 5 out of 7 days.
